Clinton-Essex Fall Roundtable Set For Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID - While many people still warm temperatures and thoughts of this past summer on their minds, others are gearing up for the events of fall. Included in those activities is the Clinton-Essex Counties Fall Regional Roundtable. This event is sponsored by the Northern New York Library Network, Potsdam.

The subject of the Clinton-Essex Counties Roundtable is "Exhibition Techniques." It will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on September 29, 2007 at the Lake Placid North Elba Historical Society, 242 Station Street, Lake Placid. There is no fee to attend.

The discussion will focus on interpreting and displaying materials of historic interest to the public. Included in the discussion will be the care of historic materials, installing low- cost displays and hiring exhibit professionals. There will be a tour of the Museum.

The speaker will be Historian and Exhibition Consultant Virginia Westbrook, of the Virginia Company, Crown Point.
