Circulation Policies
Borrowing Privileges:
All patrons must provide proof of a current address before they will be allowed to borrow any library material.
Proof of address has to be a current utility bill or other piece of mail showing mane and address.
- Any resident of New York State may become a registered patron at no charge.
- Short term or visiting residents will be granted a two week guest card given
they provide a permanent address. After two weeks, the patron must
register using a verified local address.
- Children under 14 must have their parent's permission to become a patron.
- Users must be a registered patron in good standing to check out material.
A patron in "good standing" cannot have overdue fines in excess of $5
and/or have more than three items overdue at any NCLS library.
- Library cards are good for 5 years and will then be subject to renewal upon
verification of address.
