Reserve Books Featured on our Weekly Table
The bottom of this page features instructions on how to reserve books from home
as well as a link to Amazon Books and Barnes & Noble Books where a synopsis of
most books can be found. You may also want to search for the authors official
web site.
Every Friday the library sets out new bestseller books on a special reserve item
table. Patrons can be placed on the reserve list by bringing the books and their
library card to the front desk. Patrons will be called when it is their turn. The library
is enhancing this service by allowing patrons to place reserves from their home
computer. First time users may need to contact the library to activate their pin number.
Below is the list for the current weeks table as well as a few weeks before. This list
will be updated between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

Patrons may reserve
books from home via the internet by following the instructions as listed:
- Go to
www.ncls.org
and click on Massena, then:
- Search
Box: Type in your request. Example: Ducks
(Subject), Chicken Soup for the Soul
(Title), Grisham, John (Author)
- Change CATALOG
to ALL.
- Click on
the appropriate blue button: Example: Author, Title, Subject,
Series
- Choose a
book or other type of material.
- Click on DETAILS
after you find the right entry.
- Click PLACE
HOLD in the box on the left.
- For user
ID, type in the 13 digit number from the back of your library card.
- For pin,
type in the last 4 digits of your phone number.
Please Note: First time users may need to
contact the library to activate the pin number.
- Confirm
pick-up library (in most cases it will be Massena).
- Click OK.
Note:
Do not place a hold on an item marked "NEW" that is from another
library.
You will never receive it.
Go
to Amazon to
find information about a book.
Go to
Barnes and Noble to
find information about a book.
Another
way to find information on a particular book is to search for the authors web
site.
