Patrons may reserve books from home via the internet by following the instructions as listed:     

•     Go to www.ncls.org and click on Massena, then:
•     Search Box:  Type in your request.    Example:  Ducks (Subject), Chicken Soup for the Soul 
      (Title),  Grisham, John (Author)  
•     Change CATALOG to ALL.
•     Click on the appropriate blue button:   Example: Author, Title, Subject, Series
•     Choose a book or other type of material.
•     Click on DETAILS after you find the right entry.
•     Click PLACE HOLD in the box on the left.
•     For user ID, type in the 13 digit number from the back of your library card.
•     For pin, type in the last 4 digits of your phone number.
      Please Note:  First time users may need to contact the library to activate the pin number.
•     Confirm pick-up library (in most cases it will be Massena).
•     Click OK.

   Note:  Do not place a hold on an item marked "NEW" that is from another library. 
             You will never receive it.

   Go to Barmes and Noble to find information about a book.

Another way to find information on a particular book is to search for the authors web site.
